Air Supply - Lost In Love HQ

"Lost in Love" is a 1980 song recorded by the Australian soft rock group Air Supply. The song was written by group member Graham Russell. The original version of the song appeared on the Life Support album in 1979 and was released as a single in Australia, reaching #13 on the Kent Music Report. The group re-recorded the song for the album Lost In Love in 1980 and this version was released as a single in the US reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Air Supply's popularity in their native country during the mid to late 1970s had not been matched elsewhere. Russell travelled to England in 1979, and while there, discovered that the group's Australian record label Big Time Records had sold "Lost in Love" to Arista Records in the United States for distribution. Soon thereafter, their song became a hit on the music charts in the U.S. The song spent four weeks at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 1980 and topped the Billboard adult contemporary chart for six weeks that same year.

Peter Cetera - Glory Of Love HQ

"Glory of Love" is a 1986 Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit song written by Peter Cetera, David Foster and Cetera's wife at the time, Diane Nini, and recorded by Cetera shortly after he left the band Chicago to pursue a solo career. The song was featured in the 1986 film The Karate Kid, Part II. It was Cetera's first hit single and was included on his 1986 album, Solitude/Solitaire (which was released to coincide with the theatrical release of The Karate Kid, Part II.) According to Cetera, he originally wrote "Glory of Love" as the end title for the 1985 film Rocky IV, but was passed over by United Artists, and instead it was used as the theme for The Karate Kid Part II. "Glory of Love" peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart on August 2, 1986, remaining in that spot for two weeks. It also spent five weeks atop the U.S. adult contemporary chart. The song achieved similar success in the UK, peaking at #3 on the UK Singles Chart, where it was the 26th best-selling single of 1986.

    Duration: 5:04 - FileType: mp3 - Bitrate: 192 Kbps

BAD COMPANY - Ready For Love HQ Sound, 4K-Ultra-HD, Lyrics

Bad Company is an English hard rock supergroup formed in Westminster, London in 1973 by two former Free band members—singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke— as well as Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. Peter Grant, who managed the rock band Led Zeppelin, also managed Bad Company until 1982. Bad Company enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s. Their first three albums, Bad Company (1974), Straight Shooter (1975), and Run With the Pack (1976), reached the top five in the album charts in both the UK and US. Many of their singles, such as "Ready For Love", "Bad Company", "Can't Get Enough", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", and "Feel Like Makin' Love", remain staples of classic rock radio. There was a rumour that singer Paul Rodgers was so enamored with the Jeff Bridges film Bad Company that he chose to name his band after it, but Rodgers, in an interview with Spinner.com, explained that the idea came from a book of Victorian morals that showed a picture of an innocent kid looking up at an unsavory character leaning against a lamppost. The caption read "beware of bad company". Their debut album "Bad Company" was recorded at Headley Grange with Ronnie Lane's Mobile Studio in November 1973 and it was the first album released on Led Zeppelin's Swan Song Records label. The album reached the top of the US Billboard 200. Since then, the album has been certified five times platinum by the RIAA, and became the 46th best selling album of the 1970s. The album spent 25 weeks in the UK Albums Chart, entering at No. 10 and reaching its highest position of No. 3 in the second week. Kerrang! magazine listed the album at No. 40 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time". The album was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. "Ready for Love" (Mott the Hoople cover) appears as the 3rd track of the album. Paul Rodgers – vocals, rhythm and acoustic guitars, piano, tambourine Mick Ralphs– lead guitar, keyboards Boz Burrell – bass Simon Kirke – drums Lyrics: Walkin' down this rocky road Wonderin' where my life is leading Rollin' on.. to the bitter end Finding out along the way What it takes to keep love living You should know How it feels my friend Ooh.. I want you to stay Ooh.. I want you today I'm ready for love, oh baby I'm ready for love Ready for love, oh baby I'm ready for love, yeah.. For your love.. Golden Earring - Radar Love 1974 HQ

The surprise hard rock hit of the summer of 1974. It came out of nowhere like a lightning bolt, blasting out of radios and jukeboxes. The faltering rock music scene, definitely headed for a nosedive off the cliff to crash into the rocks below, for a short time actually appeared on a rebound. "Radar Love" was one of a small number of songs that made a recovery of the late 60's/early 70's rock scene look possible. Although this did not happen, Golden Earring nevertheless gave us a glimpse ahead towards where things would be after a few years of correction. A few other bands had been doing the same thing, like Electric Light Orchestra. "Radar Love" gave us a promise of a future ... and it did it in a futuristic almost sci-fi manner. Guitars and synthesizers were making sounds never heard before on this song with a seductive beat and boss brass orchestral rhythm section. I can't recall a song getting more play on a summer jukebox since "Journey To The Center of The Mind" by Amboy Dukes in 1968. Since their cover of The Byrd's "Eight Miles High" in 1969, a popular underground FM radio hit in Canada and the United States, Golden Earring had been completely off America's radar screen ... but now they were back with a vengeance. The track originally appeared on their LP, Moontan, which was released in The Netherlands on August 24, 1973. The album and the song "Radar Love" scored high on charts there, in Germany, the UK, and much of Europe. However, it was not until 1974 that Golden Earring released a reworked version of the Moontan album in the United States. On June 25, 1974 Golden Earring's single "Radar Love" entered the Cash Box US Singles Hit List at #28 and the Moontan album entered the Cash Box US Album Hit List also at #28. "Radar Love" shot to #10 on Cash Box and #13 on Billboard on the week ending August 10, 1974.

Roxy Music - Love Is The Drug 1976 HQ

From my most favorite album by Roxy Music, Siren, this was one of the top dance songs of 1976 in the United States and 1975 in the UK. From Wikipedia: "Love Is the Drug" is a 1975 single from English rock band Roxy Music's fifth studio album Siren ... A number two hit in the United Kingdom, it also gave the group its first substantial exposure in the United States, reaching number 30 in early 1976 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and doing even better on progressive rock radio ... The song started as an Andy Mackay instrumental, but then gained lyrics from Bryan Ferry; Ferry said the song came to him while he was walking and kicking the leaves in London's Hyde Park." In the US, this rock and funk classic debuted on Cash Box at #91 on December 20, 1975, peaking at #30 on Billboard's Hot 100 on March 10, 1976 and #24 on the Cash Box Top 100 on March 13, 1976. Jefferson Airplane - Somebody To Love 1967 HQ

"Somebody To Love" was the first of the "Summer of Love" era psychedelic songs to make it inside of the Top Ten in the United States. It appeared on Jefferson Airplane's album Surrealistic Pillow, which is among the very best rock albums ever recorded, let alone among the very best psychedelic albums ever recorded. It was one of my early album purchases and I regard the album as PERFECTION ON VINYL (and now CD of course). "Somebody To Love" debuted on Billboard at #88 on April 1, 1967 and on the Cash Box Top 100 Singles chart at #71 on April 8, 1967. It peaked at #5 on June 17, 1967 on both Cash Box and Billboard. This was history in the making and the true beginning of the psychedelic pop era (note I said "pop"). For the most part, the Top Ten or Top 20 at that time were dominated by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Turtles, The Young Rascals, The Hollies, Sonny & Cher, the Mamas & the Papas, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Revere & The Raiders (not feeling quite as psychedelic as they had with "Kicks" the previous year), Neil Diamond, Engelbert Humperdinck, Herb Alpert, Petula Clark, Lesley Gore (still), Motown artists, especially The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, and Arthur Conley, and the two Sinatras (Nancy and Frank and Nancy and Frank together). However, on May 27, 1967, Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love" shot into the Top 10 like a bullet out of nowhere, after having climbed up the charts from the bottom depths slower than some vines. The Easybeats were at #16 with their iconic hit "Friday On My Mind" .. they got no higher (pardon the pun). But the next blockbuster psychedelic hit would be "Light My Fire" by The Doors when they entered The Top 20 at #20 on July 1, 1967 while "Somebody To Love" was still at #18 on its way back down. Scott McKenzie's folk hit, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)," written by John Phillips, became an anthem for "the Summer of Love" during this time. Personally, I do not consider 1967 as an isolated year. Most of the great psychedelic songs of the late 1960s, often applied to the Summer of Love (1967), actually were released and became popular throughout the year 1968. Psychedelic music began to lose its grip in 1969, although some fabulous psychedelic songs were released that year as well. Eventually what was once "psychedelic" became what has since been called "progressive rock." Now, regarding my music video: When I do a synchronization, usually it is not to win over the general YouTube audience. I am well aware that others are doing the same thing .. and some much better. I do it for my CHANNEL audience, not the general audience. I want to give my channel viewers a reason to stay a while. Once they have had their fill of my retro or contemporary dramatizations of lyrics, or my slideshows (which I seldom do anymore), or my experimental visuals of songs, I like them to be able to click on a video just to watch their favorite band or artist, performing live if possible, with the original track synchronized as perfectly as is possible in place of the live track. Most recently I did that with Elvis Presley performing "Don't Be Cruel" on The Ed Sullivan Show in January 1957. Sometimes I spike the punch a bit and give them some drama along with the synchronization, like Talking Heads' "Take Me To The River" (I even put lyrics captions on that one) ... but usually it is straight syncing. This is a synchronization from the original track (on CD) of "Somebody To Love" to the live broadcast performance of the song by Jefferson Airplane when they appeared on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour on June 25, 1967.

You'll find the lyrics below: Doesn't take much to make me happy and make me smile Never never will I feel discouraged Cause our love's no mystery Demonstrating love and affection That you give so openly yeah I like the way ya make me about you baby Want the whole wide world to see [Chorus:] Whoa whoa, you got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you've got the best of my love Goin' in and out of changes The kind that come around each day My life has a better meaning Love has kissed me in a beautiful way And oh yea (my love, my love) oh yea (my love, my love) Oh you got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you've got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you've got the best of my love Whoa whoa, you've got the best of my love Demonstrating sweet love and affection That you give so openly yeah The way I feel about ya baby can't explain it Want the whole wide world to see Ohhh but in my heart You're all I need You for me and me for you ohhh, it's growin' every day ooooh ohhh, oh oh oh oh oh you've got the best of my love ohhh, oh oh oh oh oh you've got the best of my love ohhh, givin' you the best of my love my love ohh my love ohhh, givin' you the best of my love my love ohh oh yeah ohhh, oh oh oh oh oh you've got the best of my love
